Create personalised name-writing cards for your whole class in minutes!

All you have to do is edit the names in Canva, then let children Dot It, Trace It and Write It as they build confidence towards independent name writing.

Free Canva account required.

Personalised name writing sheets for your whole class, without making 30 different resources from scratch!

Learning to recognise and write our own name is a BIG deal in Reception, but every child is starting from a different place.

So I’ve created these simple, editable name-writing templates to help children practise their own name through a clear progression:

Dot it Build familiarity with the shape and formation of each letter.

Trace it Practise following the letter shapes with increasing control.

Write it Take away the support and have a go independently.

Simply open the editable template in Canva, change the example name to the names of the children in your class, duplicate the pages and PRINT!

Perfect for Reception, Nursery and early writers.

What do I get?

Your download includes links to the editable Canva templates, allowing you to personalise the resource with the names of the children in your own class. I have already designed and created it for you.

There are different layouts included, so you can choose the level of support that works for your children, including individual Dot It and Trace It sheets as well as the full Dot It / Trace It / Write It progression.

You’ll also receive a simple guide showing you how to edit and print your templates.

No Canva Pro needed!

You will need a FREE Canva account to access and edit the templates.

Once you've opened the template, simply:

Type their name. Duplicate the page. Print. Done.

Use them for morning activities, writing provision, fine motor practice, interventions, name-writing folders or simply as repeated independent practice.
