Help! I’m New to Reception!
 
Starting in Reception is exciting, magical… and occasionally feels like trying to teach phonics while someone asks you to tie their shoelace, another child tells you all about their mum’s friend's hen party during the register, and someone has turned the water tray into a full spa experience.
 
This 2 hour workshop is here to help you feel calmer, clearer and more confident as you step into EYFS.
 
We’ll look at connection, routines, behaviour, purposeful indoor and outdoor provision, play, planning, adult interactions, what teaching actually looks like in Reception, working with parents and protecting your own wellbeing too.
 
Perfect for teachers new to Reception, moving from KS1, ECTs, support staff or anyone wanting to start September with less panic and more purpose.
