Phonics
Below are the suggested progression that we follow from nursery to the end of F2 /Primary 1. This is part of our long term plan document that I have made that shows how we link from nursery, all the way through to Key Stage 1. Of course, this is the
best case scenario. We all know that cohorts are different year on year, terms different in length of week, but at least we have this map to guide us through the year to show our content and intent.

Interventions - getting the time for these AND still interaction in the provision (the best part and technially where the chidlren need us more) is such a hard balance to get. There are demands for "this is where they need to be for ELG, Year 1..bla bla bla".
Each school is different and will do it in different ways! Do what is right for the children, with the staff and resources that you have.
We look at who needs support, through our ongoing dialoge between staff and plan support that way.
Flying with Phonics: Part 1: Flight School
Lets break down the first 3 weeks. Of course this is just a guide and will depend on your children. The first 3 weeks will take place after you complete the necessary baseline assessments. This is related to Phase 1 phonics.
